Garcia, Ruben, 68, passed away June 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Olga; son, Matthew Garcia; daughter, Melissa Jabara (Scott McFadden); mother, Rosalinda Garcia; three siblings, Gilbert (Lena), Joe (Debbie) & Mary “Olga” Garcia (Thomas Graves); three grandchildren, Bradley, Mason Jabara & Kolton Tibbets. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus; brothers, Patrick & Benjamin Garcia. Rosary: Sunday, 4:00 p.m. at Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway. I met Ruben early on in life. Ruben and his family lived on the corner of Park Place and 22nd and I lived on the corner of Park Place and 23rd. Im talkin 1951, kindergarden. Ruben was always a very pleasant fun guy to be around. I cant recall him ever being at odds with anyone all thru them years. He married Mike Morenos sister and his brother Pat passed a few years ago. Pat was a good friend of mine, a few years younger but a real jokester for sure. Ruben will be missed. I was hoping that he could make it to one of the get to gethers at Franks pizza restaurant but he didnt.
