Greg was my very good friend in high school and college. Then he moved to New York. I only saw him once after that - our ten year reunion. He was a wonderful man and a good friend. He managed to keep a good attitude although he suffered a lot of mean comments in school. You see my friend Greg was gay. He did not know. Our first semester at WSU he was approached by a man and he joined the life. It was not a happy life because there was so much hatred towards gay people. He was much happier in New York and lived a full life. He died of Aids. He is missed.
Linda - I'm so sorry that Greg struggled to be accepted by his North classmates - it makes me very sad for him and his family and friends. I'm glad you shared this story - it reminds me of the need to accdept everyone as a fellow human being. Thanks so much
