Dorothy was the first friend I met when I started attending Riverside Elementary in 2nd grade.  I believe the teacher asked her to sort of "sponsor" me, the new girl, at the beginning.  She was such a sweet girl and remained always an incredibly nice person......In 6th grade, she was elected Queen of the May Fete, an end of year, May Day celebration presented by all the Brownie and Girl Scout troops at Riverside Elementary.  To be the Queen was THE highest honor we all hoped to achieve and it was Dorothy that sat on that throne on the stage to view all the performances!
