Ive been intentionally out of touch with Wichita for sometime now and off of Facebook. I have a heavy heart today because the year has taken its toll on North Hi Class of 65. Brian was a guy i ran around with and was a dear friend for many years. Judy was so sweet and i always enjoyed talking to her at the reunions. I never had the nerve to tell her that I had a crush on her. Leroy and I went to Horace Mann together and had any classes together. We had track and wrestlling together for many years. Leroy, Bobby Folks, Jimmie Jimmerson and many others were at Horace Mann before North. We basically had a blast, never a dull moment in Mr. Fields metal class or Mr. Bakers woodworking class. Then North we had again gym class, Mr. Jones class and many others. I went to school with Sandra from the 1st grade at Waco Elementary. and many others who have passed. Rest in peace to all of those who have passed on.

My memories of Leroy was that he was such a friendly guy! I wish I had known him more also as an adult! He seemed to be surrounded by friends at North and was never alone in the halls! Yes, Rest Now, Friend! Bruce - your comments sum up my feeling as well - We have lost a lot of dear friends thru the years and this one has pointed out how fragile our lives are!

Sorry to hear about Leroy. Always enjoyed being around him. I remember he went with us dragging Douglas after a North/East football game. We had a great time. He will be missed. May his memory be eternal.

Leroy was a good friend in high school. He always had a smile and was fun to be around. But like so many other friends at North we lost track of each other after graduating.
