ADKINS, Gary L., age 55, of New Port Richey, Florida died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. Born in Wichita, Kansas he came here 27 years ago. He was a painter for Alexander Homes; a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam; a member of the D.A.V. and New Life Ministries of Hudson. Survivors include his wife, Linda; a daughter, Karen Seeberger of Brooksville; two brothers, Perry O. Adkins, Jr of Lawrence, Kansas and Lance R. Adkins of Madisonville, Texas; two sisters, Hazel Renee Row of Missouri and Nancy Adkins; three grandchildren. Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home Brooksville Chapel.

I recall Gary as a friendly open person in the classes we had together. His later involvement with church & community work seems to indicate that he continued being a caring person throughout his life. Sorry to learn that he died so young. Sherry Skillwoman

I remember Gary from PE. Always seemed a happy guy. Interesting how our lives turn out after we leave high school. We both chose to put God in our lives and we were brothers in that we both served our country in Vietnam.I had not seen this notice earlier, but Gary, job well done, and welcome home brother.
