I knew Jim from the Pleasant Valley area schools.  He was quite the character even back in 4th grade when we played on summer baseball teams.  I always remember his wonderful mom watching over him and yelling to "hit the ball Jim."  I argued with Jim constantly throughout the years.  He sort of drove me crazy but I still loved him.  Rest in peace Jim.  Will be missing you.  Keeping your family in my prayers.  Tim

While I was not in the same NHS social circles as Jim, the comments in memory of Greg Chism, indicate that Jim had a strong loyal character & did not give up on friends, even if they went through hard times.  This is something that all of us can be inspired by Jim's memory & carry this forward in our own lives.

Jim was always so nice to me. Sometimes we set close in classes if we were set alphabetically. When we were both home for our reunion a couple of years ago, I stopped in at White Castle. Jim was there with his wife and friends. He insisted he buy my lunch. What a nice guy. Peace for Jim and prayers for his family.

Jim was a crazy, sweet guy and a loyal friend. We went to school together starting at Pleasant Valley.  He and my brother Tom pheasant hunted together every year at his place and when he came to Wichita and visited Tom, he would always make Tom call me so we could all talk and laugh together.  He always made me feel special.  Rest easy, Jim!
